BASIC
SAFETY
Before using this equipment and to avoid personal injury, carefully read and understand these instructions. If there is anything you do not understand. DO NOT use this equipment, seek advise.
Make sur you are aware of all safety requirements and that this equipment is suitable for the task you wish to undertake.
The work area must be cordoned off from the general public and bystanders.
Persons who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs must not operate this equipment.
You must perform a risk assessment before using this equipment to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
Wear the correct personal protective equipment for the task ahead.
Do not wear loose jewellery or clothing that may get in the way of your work.
Inform everyone in the area of what you are doing.
This equipment may weigh in excess of 25 kilos, if so, do not lift it by yourself, GET HELP.
Ensure adequate ventilation when using this equipment. Do not operate the unit close to flammable or explosive materials.
Do not lift or remove the unit by its power supply cable.
Always switch OFF the unit when cleaning, making adjustments or when left unattended.
Transport, store and operate this equipment in an upright position.
Carefully inspect the equipment before use, if there is any doubt about its condition, DON\'T USE IT. Check specifically for damage to casing, power sockets and leads.

HEAT DAMAGE RISK
Never place a portable transformer on any surface, which may be damaged by heat. Regardless of size or type, all portable transformers work at high temperatures. These temperatures are sufficient to melt linoleum and synthetic carpet. Severe damage will also be caused to wood and similar materials.
Heat produced by the transformer is increased if the transformer is operated at its intermittent (max) rating.
Only place the transformer on a surface you know, is heat resistant.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Portable transformers require a standard 230v 13amp power supply.
If the equipment fails, or if any part becomes damaged, return it. DO NOT repair it yourself.
Do not plug the transformer into an extension lead, only use extension leads from the transformer.
Fully unwind and loosely coil all extension leads. Position them away from the equipment where they will be protected from water, sharp objects and where they will not pose a trip hazard.
Keep the equipment dry; protect this equipment from damp or wet conditions.
For additional safety always use an RCD between the transformer and the item being powered.
Switch the power OFF before plugging into the supply.
